CBD FAQs

The CBD guide we have put together covers a lot of the basics; however various questions do still arise around CBD that we haven't fully covered in the guide, hence this FAQ approach.

Common CBD questions, we often come across, are usually specific to a particular ailment, or questions around safety. In this article we intend to cover off the most common and we will reference our CBD guide where we feel it’s helpful and maybe necessary.

Does CBD get you high?

The simple answer is no, it will not. This is because CBD is extracted from hemp plants grown containing high levels of CBD, with minimal THC. It is the THC in marijuana plants which gives the high. Due to the nature of the plants, there may be small traces of THC found, but this is nowhere enough to give any high feeling and Is untraceable on drug tests.

Is it legal in the UK?

Yes! CBD is legal in the UK, but THC is illegal but is allowed to be in CBD provided it only contains very small trace amounts.

Is CBD oil addictive?

CBD is not an addictive substance, and this has been confirmed by the World Health Organisation, who state – “CBD is generally well tolerated with a good safety profile. Reported adverse effects may be as a result of drug interactions between CBD and patients’ existing medications.”

Difference between CBD oil and hempseed oil?

CBD oil can be referred to as ‘hemp extract’ and is generally used to make CBD oil, and other CBD products. The hemp seed is classed as a food and is often used in cooking and making cosmetics.

Hemp seeds can be planted too, it is the oil which is extracted from the leaves which make the CBD we know today.

Best dosage of CBD to take?

If you have never used CBD before, then it is best to begin with a low dose, and then gradually build up to a level that feels most comfortable for you.

The mechanics of CBD ingestion are complex, and the process does vary from person to person.

A good way of taking CBD is using an oral spray, as this method delivers the CBD directly into the bloodstream, similarly vaping CBD also gives a faster impact of the CBD effect.
